The Magical Jacket

This is my second film of the new school year! It was directed and created by me. Special thanks to Alex for shooting some of the first shots as I was a character in this film also. The film is called The Magical Jacket and is about a lost jacket that Alex found after I put it in the lost in found. Then he stole it and tried it on. After that, now he has super powers such as telekinesis. I created the meaning during the zolly shot by making it looked like something big has happened. My pedestal shot was meaningful through the movements because it showed him putting on the jacket but is surprising that he is doing that since its not his jacket. I used a tilt shot in the beginning of the film when I found the lost jacket. That shot showed that I had just found it. These movements were very effective to the type of mystery film that I produced. The movement that was challenging was the zolly shot because I have never used this movement before and wanted to try something new. I want to improve my filming by trying new advanced things such as the jib and slider. I also used a DSLR to film instead of a cam recorder. I will use these movements next time and improve them by practicing the shots as practice runs before I start officially shooting. I can improve these shots as a meaning way by depending on the situation such as a shocking film, I would use a zolly or pedestal.
